Po Goh - merely a blind noise

In 1854, Clara Schumann said Liszt's sonata sounded like "merely a blind noise". Since then, electric instruments, images of wartime, and Rick Rubin's loudness war have inspired much more perverse explorations of piano music.

Program:

Nigel WESTLAKE - Piano Sonata No. 1
Michael Kieran HARVEY - Piano Sonata No. 8 "P. Singer"

Interval

Franz LISZT - Piano Sonata
